Motorcycle Chain Set

Usually if you set a definite chain of factory recommended pegged at a distance of 2-3 cm around the chain while the bike distandar middle. But that applies for those who have an average weight of 70 kg. What to do? Since the distance is closely interconnected with the main chain rider weight, when the ride got more weight, for example 120 kg, the distance needed to play more because sokbeker will swing the more so that the distance around the chain will also need a lot. Differences with motorists who had normal weight, eg 60 kg, then rear wheel swing just a little. So from here the correct procedures in regulating the chain tension is directly involving the owner of the motor.
The order of the correct procedure is, first position the motor with a standard middle, then turn the wheel and look for the most tight chain tension, ie when the chains of at least distance the game, checked by hand as the wheel rotates. The second standard fold up the middle followed by motorcycle riders, then the chain will be tightened, if the daily also include the driver always rode. Well here is the key, the new third step when the rider on the bike the distance around the chain is set with a distance of around 2-3 cm in a way to loosen the wheel nut and then tighten or loosen the nut suits chain. Once the tension is just right then stay tightened wheel nuts.
With a procedure like this chain still have to play a safe distance. Good luck. (Source)

CDI For Old Cars

Old cars are still using platinum we can change using the CDI ignition system. Automobile electronic ignition systems, many people call the CDI system is different though, but more or less the same function. Actually, to upgrade from platinum to the CDI we can do yourself without having to utilize the help of the workshop.
we do not need to manipulate, we just go to the auto parts store and buy a kit CDI.

As CDI car in the picture above, the CDI is a finished product and we find in many auto parts store with affordable prices and the installation of a practical and fast. With a single cable that utilizes Minus Coil voltage as for mendriver coil to generate high voltage in accordance with the received input signal CDI. In CDI this car uses hall effect sensors are certainly very sensitive and stable output at all engine RPM point.

The easy way to upgrade / install CDI namely:
Top right cylinder engine 1.
Make sure the direction of the rotor leads to the No. 1 spark plug wire.
Unplug the platinum from the holder.
Connect the CDI module.
Attach Reluctor CDI (make sure not funny). (Position the sign in accordance with the instructions)
Measure the gap / distance and reluctor module, adjust the terms of the manufacturer.
CDI wiring installations as well as freelance platinum condenser.
Complete the distributor and the engine starter preparation.
Start the engine and check when the ignition using a timing light. (When the ignition adjust to the type of vehicle).
Finishing.

Causes Flooding In Carburetor

Carburetor flooding could be a cause of the fire. The fire resulting from fuel droplets that fall to the brake switch cable. Unfortunately, many riders consider it a trivial matter carburetor flooding. Moreover, symptoms such as problems with the electricity, time to replace the spark plugs,
or problem and the main-jet pilot.

There are several symptoms of flooding may be generally perceived. fit
morning or after the engine is turned off hard to make. Even if not turned on, the gas must be opened big.
Even if the engine was blazing, when the motor has gone the way but many times the symptoms will die if fully closed gas. The effect was most obvious problem during acceleration.

Carburetor flooding problems can also be seen directly. Carburetor dewy. Gasoline has a low temperature. Carburetor flooding makes the effect of low temperatures in the vicinity.

You need to know if the name of gasoline overflowed from the carburetor to the incident in any brand or type of motor. No gasoline was at maximum capacity because of age carburetor bowl a few supporting components are old.

Examples of buoys and rocket age has got to be replaced. If a float can not get up, gasoline could be a flood.
That is, there are two components in the carburetor bowl that can be considered to be the cause of flooding. buoys are too
low.

Suit the actual buoy must be checked every periodic servicing. It's work rules. Later be discovered whether the high setting is as recommended,

There is a handle to the carburetor type setting of the plate, but there are also plastic. If the plastic is faster wear and suits can be changed.
Settings buoys and checked the condition of the handle settings, try
look at the needle floats aka rocket. Components that work up and down so it's time could be
replaced.

Many factors worn needle. The material is a type of rubber which eventually wear out so so baseball can serve a maximum time of gasoline into the carburetor bowl.
Impurities from gasoline can also block the rise and fall of the needle valve. Yes, so make a flood.

Tips for Choosing Oil for Motor

Choosing the engine oil is sometimes quite confusing, because of ignorance of the specification we will use oil. An understanding of the conditions of operation of the machine used, as well as knowledge about the specifications of oil, could help solve this problem of anxiety.

As is well known that the engine oil is a very important role as koeffisien minimize friction between the machine elements intersect, a cooling agent in the engine room, to avoid rust, make sure to avoid wearing on the surface of the element and so on.

In addition to the above requirements they will be the engine oil when the engine operates, always be in an environment that has a high temperature due to the combustion process in the combustion chamber. The combustion process they will also cause oxidation and lead to Radicals, or compounds which usually arise due to the reaction heat effect, thus causing degradation of engine oil. To maintain the quality of oil they will be required reaski oxidation-preventing additives.

Besides the blow-by gas that is entering the combustion gases to the engine room containing the fuel does not burn completely, are likely to be soot or particulete, to avoid such particulate clumping so that it becomes its own problems, engine oil additives will also need an anti-forming clumps of . In addition to the diesel engine, which allows the sulfur contained quite a lot then for this type of engine oil additives require neutralizing sulfur.

As it is known that elements such as engine piston-ring and cylinder-liner, connecting rod tip, then the cam-nose and rocker-arm is touching. For this section, lubrication of the fluid that is flowing into the lubrication surface where the flow is very limited. Condition of existing types of lubrication in the engine room they will be, should respond to one type of engine oil only.

For lubrication type of surface they will be, a high-viscosity engine oil would be better suited to protect from the elements wearing, but the high viscosity of engine oil that they will become an obstacle to the rotating elements which lowers the fuel efficiency of the system itself. Conversely a low viscosity or thin, good for fuel efficiency, but allows higher engine element of damage caused by the possibility of friction between the larger elements. So that engine oil needs in the conditioning to be able to respond to the type of lubrication is required as above. For example with the addition of additives ZDTP to protect the parts that intersect like the cam and so on.

Distribution of energy use combustion products can be described more or less energy can be used as a power system 25% of motion, friction wheels and the road 6% and 7.5% loss due to mechanical, from the distribution for example, by using engine oil SHG mechanical loss becomes 0% though, fuel efficiency will go up 7.5%, but actually can not expect such a high increase in fuel efficiency. But oil prices are suitable for high fuel efficiency, it is not so different from regular oil, then use the oil to enhance fuel keiritan it remains one point that is not forgotten.

Specifications to save fuel oil includes a variety of important things to remember. As explained above that there is some kind of lubrication that occurs in the engine room, in summary a good oil is oil that is able to reduce friction on the lubrication of any kind on top. In oil market, there is a certificate issued by ILAC standards, ie standards issued by the oil producers and automobile manufacturers regarding tsb-grade oil.

The trend today is the engine oil viscosity reduction in oil to lower the barrier fluid in a rotating element, while to deal with problems on the surface of the elements that intersect added additive anti-wearing, and so on. In operation in the field more in mild or moderate load conditions, with temperatures around 150 degrees centigrade, which has a base oil of the polymer has advantages. This is because the oil with the base polymer viscosity little changed despite the change in temperature is large enough. So that real applications have a wider range of usability or flexible. But with a low viscosity, or oil that is more dilute, have a higher tendency to evaporate from the oil viscosity was high. It has also become one of the themes of research on the formula-development engine oil.

Code of an engine oil viscosity, is usually written out of cans of oil. The part which is W, a viscosity index they will be tested with testing system Cold Cranking Simulator (CCS) is performed at low temperatures below zero, for example 10W, 20W, 5W or 0W. The smaller the number on it they will increasingly dilute the engine oil. Or the easier the engine starter, oil standard without CCS is also sufficient. If the viscosity sign they will be, do not use the letter W, then the oil they will be only in the test with the standard at a temperature of 100 degrees C. The smaller the number, the more dilute, suited to the emphasis on fuel effisiency, but less well to protect the machine elements that are touching each other.

So really from a technical standpoint, for areas that do not meet the cold temperature, is sufficient to see oil specification with code numbers without the letter W. But in real usage back to the user satisfaction, whether using double standards, or simply by a single standard without testing CCS.

Long Life Engine Oil [SIZE = 7]
With increasing attention to environmental issues, efforts to use the engine oil up to 30.000 miles now been started by some oil producers. This is in addition to a lighter burden on the environment also reduces the themes in the care of the machine. From the research it is known that the main cause of damage to the oil starts from reduced anti-oxidant additives in the oil. The decrease in anti-oxidation additives are causing damage to the compound base oil oxidation due to chemical processes, which carry a chain effect with other additives damage that accelerates exponentially increase the viscosity of engine oil. It is also known that the location of the cause of damage to the engine oil quality, generally starting from the part between the piston and cylinder.

The use of oil in the oil quality has been damaged condition will result in the dirt that accumulated in the machine. This debris comes from the oil itself is biodegradable, and clumping that could eventually be found in elements of the machine. So to solve this problem the use of anti-oxidant additives, detergent additives and clot-preventing additive to be one important key in determining the formula for the new engine oil.

But as a "rule of thumb", until recently, using an ordinary oil but is often replaced more secure than using a good oil but it is rarely replaced.

In outline, engine oil, there are five groups (according to the Standard API)

GROUP I: Mineral Oil with a sufficiently large impurity
GROUP II: Mineral oil with impurity less than Group I
GROUP III: Mineral Oil with Group II with a viscosity index greater.
GROUP IV: PAO (PolyAlphaOlefin) Synthetic Oil
GROUP V: esters Synthetic Oil

Group III is made with synthetic technology - called Synthetized Mineral Oil. Performed by Castrol Synthetic Label and sell at a price of course Synthetic Oil.

Today almost all synthetic oil they follow the lower grade and sell Castrol Synthetic Oil (hem, reap more profit).

Without seeing the type and quality of oil used, the problem is that there is fuel in the combustion chamber is not completely evaporated, so not everything is on fire. Residual fuel oil and blowby will wet the Ring piston and cylinder wall, so that the oil dissolves dry, until the friction between the piston rings to cylinder walls resist nobody, fast AUS and BROKEN.

Point is primarily how to make fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber is vaporized (approaching 100%), so that complete combustion will occur, no residual fuel. Se moderen2nya new artificial motor, it still can not make perfect fuel evaporates in the combustion chamber (depending on the quality of fuel), all the more if there are event-OPLOSan OPLOS Gasoline + Kerosene, the machine will be broken or its performance will quickly run into DEGRADATION. Treating Motorcycle

Check Condition of Oil Engine oil is a very important role to lubricate machine components, such as pistons, piston and piston rings, crankshaft and Noken and valves. Therefore, if the presence of lubricating oil is blackish color its lubricating power is reduced, then it should be replaced. Oil change periodically and use in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

Check Condition of Battery Do not let water pass Accu maximum and minimum limits that you may cause accelerated damage to the cell-cell batteries. In addition, if the battery or the battery is already weakened quickly replaced, because if imposed in addition to both positive and negative poles will issue corrosion (white powder), the corrosion will spread to the cables that connect the main electrical current to the channel lights, dynamo, or other parts. Therefore, in case it is, electrical current delivered battery or batteries are not perfect and can cause damage to the components of the armature, a contact switch engine and lights. One thing to note if the batteries are weak or can not afford the starter and the starter, or electric shock should be replaced.

Check the chain and gear Do not let the chain is too loose or too tight. Too loose can make the chain dislodged from his gear, while too tight could result in breaking the chain. Also check the condition of gear, if it is sharp because, if not immediately replace the chain can suddenly drop out.

Check the coil and spark plug cables Note the presence of coil wire that connects the electrical current to the spark plugs. If you are old enough and have seen there are cracks and hardening on the cable, then it should be replaced. Also note the presence of spark plugs for spark plugs is vital for the smooth operation of a vehicle engine.

Note Gasoline Hose Another component to note the fuel hose to the carburetor. Do not let the condition of the fuel line hardens or cracks occur, because the inside of the hose could have been so inelastic that resulted from the powder hose dirt washed into the carburetor. Which will eventually happen blockage of the gasoline supply tank to the carburetor so that interrupt the ignition system

Heat Machine Oldest 2 Minutes Heat the engine before the motor is started, no need for long enough 1-2 minutes. This is so that the circulation of the oil can lubricate all moving parts in the engine. Do not heat too long because it will make the exhaust pipe yellowed otherwise it will just be wasting gasoline.

Check Tire Pressure Wind Do not be too hard and also not less because the motor can result in tire damage.
If these steps are done correctly, the motor will always be your pet in a fit condition. (Source)

Repair Motor Breaking Down

First, do the checks on the fuel flow. Check the fuel indicator, whether the panel on the letter F (Full / Full) or E (Empty / Empty). On some faucets that use gasoline motors, see if in the position ON, OFF or Ress. When the On position suddenly strike, then there is still a reserve of gasoline in the fuel tank. Suggested, the biker immediately play taps at the position Ress. Usually on a type of motor Honda Tiger, still leaves 2-3 liters of gasoline. Quite right to find the nearest gas station. When the faucet is spot RESS but the engine then die, we can be sure that there is no more fuel in the tank. When the fuel is still there and the machine still did not want to live, it helps us to check the fuel line leading to the carburetor. Therefore, the flow is often blocked due to dirty gas tank.

Second, if the fuel is not problematic, try to check the ignition system. Often the spark plug is a top priority causes the machine crashed. How, loose spark plugs from his home contained in a cylinder head by using a key spark plug. If there is a black crust on the head of the spark plug, it was a sign from burning less than perfect. It could also be due to ill-fitting suit wind. The fix, clean the spark plug head with fine sandpaper that has a roughness of approximately 400-600. If you need to clean up the interior by using a pin. Check the condition of electrical plugs to put back into the header. Then stick plugs into the body of the machine while on the stater. Look carefully, whether normal or sparks are too small. Or even not even exist. When the sparks are too small, try switching to a backup plugs. Before you reinstall the spark plugs, exhaust gas in the cylinder head gas by closing the spark plug hole with a cloth and try the stater. Do 3 to 4 times a stater. Replace the spark plugs on his house and try to power the engine. In addition to the eight simple steps to overcome the motor above the breaking down, support tools should also be available as a key spark plugs, wrenches, screwdrivers, sandpaper smooth, safety pins, and do not forget to always be willing to spare spark plugs. But if all that was done the engine still do not want to live, then immediately look for the nearest garage.

Detection of Engine Damage

Here I mentioned some characteristics of damage to a motorcycle which we used to wear everyday, So one day we can detect quickly what damage occurred roughly at the vehicle we used to wear, some bitter experience as I do not know and know what occurred on my motorcycle, I often rely on a motorcycle repair shop is always nearby or workshops that dot the streets, often times it is also always I do not get satisfaction, instead of the original cost affordable I think, after I take it to a garage all it missed even swell to 2-3 fold. That's because since there are parts that should not be replaced even replaced by a mechanic at the garage. Armed with this experience is worth before friends bring your bike to the shop, first identify the damage to your motor independently, so that later in the workshop, you already know which spare parts should be replaced and which ones are unnecessary. Below is a general characteristic of damage is commonly caused by motorcycle:
Congratulations to recognize, be careful to your garage, find a shop that really has you know and trust.

1. Compression Due to Weak Machine
Machines difficult life / can not live at all
Machines can live but no power
Be a wasteful use of fuel
Tickling sound occur at the cylinder block (detonation)

2. Engine suddenly die when driving on the street
Dead or dirty spark plugs, spark plugs
Platinum does not work perfectly or not work at all as a result of loose bolts platinum
Ignition wiring loose / loose
Gasoline does not come down on the carburetor
The main jet and slow jet in the carburetor clogged
Jammed inside the piston cylinder bore due to overheating

3. Wasteful use of fuel
Blockage of the back of the carburetor air filter
The amount of carbon in the combustion chamber. Carbon is formed by burning oil hardened pelumasyang such as charcoal that sticks to the top of the piston of the combustion chamber
Inappropriate use of system
low compression
The damage of the piston. Piston ring and cylinder bore

4. Engine acceleration is less than perfect
Channels or holes-holes in the carburetor dirty
Spark plugs do not light up constantly due to dirty. (estrangement plugs too tightly)
Combustion gases can not come out smoothly from the exhaust
A clogged air filter will affect the composition of gasoline and air is so rich campuraterlallu
Ignition timing is less precise, fast terlau lights flicker or too slow

5. Engine lost power
Bos valve hole is too narrow, so that the valve becomes smooth to work
Weak or broken valve spring, repairs must replace a new one
When opening and closing valves are not appropriate. This means that the pivot connection (Noken) must be in sets of back to the top
Leakage due to damage to the compression cylinder head gasket
Piston, piston rings and cylinder obsolete hole
The locus of the spark plugs is broken, it means to be made a new spark plug holder groove

6. Come out white smoke from exhaust
Piston, piston rings and cylinder bore wear / damage
Too much lubricating oil filling
Oil pump pressure too high
The use of poor quality oil

7. Machine halting his life after heated
Spark plugs are sometimes issued a fire is sometimes not
Ignition coil broken
Float adjustment is less precise

Easy Way of Treating Diesel Engine

In general, diesel engine maintenance is not much different from the gasoline engine maintenance. What is needed is the replacement of grease or engine oil regularly. Similarly, the filter-filter, need to be replaced when doing a big service. As a rule, generally automakers recommend changing the oil filter and diesel every three oil change machine. When calculated with a time of about three months or every 7500 miles. Things are different between petrol and diesel engines, diesel fuel filter diesel engine should not only cleaned, but should be replaced.
Diesel fuel system is much more sensitive than gasoline engines. Fine dirt that comes into sisem fuel will result in significant damage. There is one filter that is not owned gasoline engine, ie fuel and water separator or a water separator. Water is an ingredient that can damage the fuel system. This filter should be cleaned regularly. No time-dependent, when it is filled immediately cleaned.
Another special thing, do not let diesel fuel until the end. To turn on the diesel engines that run out of diesel fuel requires special expertise. Worse, the dirt at the bottom - bottom of the tank will carry over into the fuel system. Dirt will clog and interfere with the fuel pump. The car will fuss and less energy. Basically, if done with painstaking care, the machine will be durable and not fussy. ( Source)

How to Increase Diesel Engine Acceleration

Diesel engines that use diesel fuel without the fuel ignition system aliases are burned by itself because of the high-compression engines. For adjusting Boschpump or injector should certainly have a test tool for accurate results, simply have to handyman boschpump for maximum results.

Diesel engine system we can also set the acceleration to be able to produce a more spontaneous and light. In gasoline engines we just set the ignition timing, but the diesel engines we can set the timing of spraying diesel fuel. This will take effect as we set the ignition timing on a gasoline car.

To reset the timing of spraying diesel fuel that we should do that:
Prepare a 12mm key ring and quasi-pass.
Loosen 3 bolts fastening boschpump. Located near the pulley boschpump. A bolt located on the inside or body boschpump closed, so it can be opened using a key or key quasi-T that has been modif.
Loosen the bolt fastener boschpump the body machine. It lies at the back boschpump.
Note the direction of engine rotation.
Want more cash acceleration boschpump rotary body opposite the engine rotation.
Want to pull a long machine or need a top speed of rotary body boschpump direction of the spin machine.
Do a shift per 2mm.
Tighten the bolt fastener.
Test results of adjustment.
Repeat if not quite fit.

note
Timing is too advanced engine will not turn on.
Timing is too backward pull of slack.
Easy and would not be wrong

Dry Batteries

Basically, the battery is divided into three types: conventional, hybrid and maintenance free (MF). The third type is often connoted as a dry battery. Where car owners no longer need to perform a routine to add the battery acid on a regular basis. Accu Dry or there is also a call MF Battery (Maintenance Free Battery) and also known as Valve Regulated Lead Acid Battery (VRLA). Characteristics of dry batteries like these that make the function and its use is quite popular among the owners of motor vehicles. But actually, MF battery itself is subdivided according to type of electrolyte used: liquid and gel electrolyte batteries. Why choose the type MF batteries Battery, apart from being anti-spill battery is a lot of advantages compared to conventional battery.
What are the advantages of this battery? MF Battery durable and high cranking performance is due to using special separators and grid corrosion resistant, high purity so that the prisoners in a low battery that produces high performance and lower self-discharge

In normal conditions (normal vehicle charging system) there is no evaporation due to gas that arises is absorbed by the negative plate, where the condition of the charging system is not normal and often over-charge, there will be evaporation and would result in battery goes bad. Under normal circumstances battery life can reach 2-3 years with a record of the use of electrical load is not excessive motorcycle and bike every day at least heated if not used, because the battery can drop (Soak) if the motorcycle is turned on for days (no charging ).
Just tips when buying battery type MF note code number on the top right of the battery, this code is a code example, 15.9.8 charge means the 15 month 9 year 2008. If you buy a code chargenya more than 4 months from the date you purchased or batterynya voltage less than 12.4 V charging do first before reinstalling.

C D I

Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) or thyristor ignition is a type of automotive electronic ignition system which is widely used in outboard motors, motorcycles, lawn mowers, chainsaws, small engines, turbine-powered aircraft, and some cars. It was originally developed to overcome the long charging times associated with high inductance coils used in inductive discharge ignition (IDI) systems, making the ignition system more suitable for high engine speeds (for small engines, racing engines and rotary piston engines). The capacitive-discharge ignition uses capacitor discharge current output to fire the spark plugs.

History
The history of the capacitor discharge ignition system can be traced back to the 1890s when it is believed that Nikola Tesla was the first to propose such an ignition system. In U.S. patent #609250 first filed February 17, 1897, Tesla writes 'Any suitable moving portion of the apparatus is caused to mechanically control the charging of a condenser and its discharge through a circuit in inductive relation to a secondary circuit leading to the terminals between which the discharge is to occur, so that at the desired intervals the condenser may be discharged through its circuit and induce in the other circuit a current of high potential which produces the desired discharge.'
The patent also describes very generally with a drawing, a mechanical means to accomplish this. In the late 1940s an attempt to make one using mechanical means to trigger the capacitor's discharge was tried. It used extra contact switches in addition to the usual points (contact breaker), but suffered from timing problems and was unreliable. The quest for an electronic means of producing a CD ignition began in earnest during the 1950s. In the mid 1950s, the Engineering Research Institute of the University of Michigan in cooperation with Chrysler Corporation in the United States worked to find a method to produce a viable unit.
They were unsuccessful, but did provide much data on the advantages of such a system, should one be built. Namely; a fast voltage rise time to fire-fouled spark plugs, high energy throughout the RPM range resulting in better starting, more power and economy, and lower emissions. A few engineers and scientists had built CD ignitions throughout the 1950s, using thyratrons which required a warm-up period, and thyratrons were vulnerable to the effects of vibration as well. Silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR) or thyristors came later thanks to Bill Gutzwiller and his team at General Electric. These early attempts all suffered from the same problem that made them unable to perform much beyond idling speed.
This was due to 'points bounce' which is a feature of a points-triggered system. In the standard system with points, distributor, coil, ignition (Kettering system) points bounce prevents the coil from saturating fully as RPM increases resulting in a weak spark, thus limiting high speed potential. In a CD ignition, at least those early attempts, the points bounce created unwanted trigger pulses to the thyratron that resulted in a series of weak, untimed sparks that caused extreme misfiring. There were two possible solutions to the problem.
The first would be to develop another means of triggering the discharge of the capacitor to one discharge per power stroke by replacing the points with something else. This could be done magnetically or optically, but that would necessitate more electronics and an expensive distributor. The other option was to keep the points, as they were already in use and reliable, and find a way to overcome the 'points bounce' problem. This was accomplished in April 1962 by a Canadian, RCAF officer F.L. Winterburn working in his basement in Ottawa, Ontario. F.L. Winterburn
The design used an inexpensive method that would only recognize the first opening of the points and ignore subsequent openings when the points bounced.
A company was formed in Ottawa in early 1963 called Hyland Electronics building CD ignitions using the Winterburn design. It provided a 75 milijoule spark at all engine speeds up to 5,000 rpm on an eight cylinder (10,000 rpm on a four-cylinder) and consumed only four amperes at that speed. Dynamometer testing during 1963 and 1964 showed a minimum of 5% increase in horsepower with the system, with 10% the norm. One example, a Ford Falcon, had an increase in horsepower of 17%. Spark plug lifespan was increased to at least 50,000 miles and points lifespan was greatly extended from 8,000 miles to at least 60,000 miles. Points lifespan became a factor of rubbing block (cam follower) wear and the life cycle of the spring with some lasting almost 100,000 miles.
The Hyland unit was tolerant of varied points gaps. The system could be switched back to standard induction discharge ignition by the simple swapping of two wires. The Hyland CD ignition was the first commercially produced CD ignition and retailed for $39.95 Canadian. The patents were applied for by Winterburn on September 23, 1963 (United States patent# 3,564,581). The design was leaked to the United States in the summer of 1963 when Hyland exposed the design to a US company in an effort to expand sales. Afterward, numerous companies started building their own throughout the 1960s and 1970s without licence.

Advantages and Disadvantages of CDI
A CDI system has a short charging time, a fast voltage rise (between 3 ~ 10 kV/μs) compared to typical inductive systems (300 ~ 500 V/μs) and a short spark duration limited to about 50-80 µs. The fast voltage rise makes CDI systems insensitive to shunt resistance, but the limited spark duration can for some applications be too short to provide reliable ignition. The insensitivity to shunt resistance and the ability to fire multiple sparks can provide improved cold starting ability.
Since the CDI system only provides a short spark, it's also possible to combine this ignition system with ionization measurement. This is done by connecting a low voltage (about 80 V) to the spark plug, except when fired. The current flow over the spark plug can then be used to calculate the temperature and pressure inside the cylinder. (Source)

Tire Care

Tires are important devices that cover the circle of a wheel. Many important and fundamental thing is to know about tires. Regarding treatment, so that the tires remain durable and safe to drive.

How do I take care of the tires to be more durable and long lasting?
Here are some tips for caring for tires:
1. Check your air pressure regularly and physical condition.
2. When using a standard motorcycle parked in the middle to reduce pressure on the tire at the same position at a time when the old one.
3. Avoid contamination with liquid - liquid chemicals that damage, oil and petrol immediately wash with soap and water if exposed to the liquid.
4. Avoid contact with the sun with a long time because it will make changing the character of tire rubber.
5. For safety, replace the tires that had crossed the line TWI.

Tubeless tire pressure is reduced but not unreasonably nail punctured. What to do?
1. Check if the size of the tire against the wheel is in compliance.
2. Check the valve to leak replace if necessary.
3. Check the lip wheels in contact with the tire is still smooth, or it is damaged because of crooked, chipped paint, no foreign objects, rough surfaces or other imperfections, repair / replace if necessary.
4. Check that the tires never patched, if so check the condition fix / replace tires if needed.
5. Check the condition of wheels on the rift, if the wheels bent and pressed once again it is possible cracked wheels so that wheels must be replaced.
6. Check if the line is parallel to the rim lip wheels, fix its position if necessary.

How to save the tires are not used / mounted on the motor properly?
1. Make sure the room is protected from the sun and UV rays.
2. Make sure that the room temperature is maintained in order to avoid extreme temperature changes continuously.
3. Storage should not be stacked, should be established one by one.

In installing the tire there are some things to watch out for the safety of riders and the durability of tires including:
1. Use equipment that does not damage tires or wheels.
2. Make sure the wheel rim parallel to the line when it is attached.
3. Make sure the direction of play according to instructions.
4. Check the air pressure to conform to its standards.
5. Adjust the size of the tire inner tube exterior.
6. Make sure no foreign objects like small sharp rocks, glass or nails in the tires.
7. Always use rim tape to protect inner tube from puncture-spoke alloy wheels.
8. Make sure that the position "Valve" tires in accordance with the sign position "Valve" marked on the tire.
9. Tighten the nut inner tube as necessary.
10. After replacing the rear tires straight position in order to align the front tires to avoid rocking.
11. After the tire is attached pull brake lever several times until it feels especially brake hydraulic brake pressure is back to normal to avoid the occurrence of brake tension. (source)

Tire Code

It would be nice if we could learn how to read codes on a motorcycle tire for the designation, so we are not wrong if we want to change the tire, because tires are bald or are not comfortable wearing.
There is code in the form of numbers or letters for example 4.60 - H-18 4 PR or 130 / 90-16 67 H.
What information can we get from the code? Below we discuss some of them.
There are two kinds of tire codes commonly used code that Imperial and Metric.

Sample code Imperial
4.60-H-18 4PR
4.60 tire's width (in inches) H shows the use of speed limits (for
scooter max 100 km / h)
N max 140 km / h
S max 180 km / h
H max 210 km / h
V max 250 km / h
18 shows the diameter of the wheel / rim (in inches)
4PR show the strength of the tire based on the strength of fiber tire fabric / ply rating
4 PR means the use of nylon fabric lining inside the carcass indicated the strength equivalent to 4 layers of tire fabric.

For the Imperial code, aspect ratio (the ratio of tire height to width tire) is based on a value of 100% (high-width tires with tires).

Sample code Metric
130 / 67 90-16 H
130 indicates the tire width (in units of milli-meter)
90 shows a high ratio of tire width.
90 means a high ratio of 90% of tire width. If the width 130 mm, the height tires
90% x 130 mm = 117 mm. Small aspect ratio which will improve vehicle stability and handling.
16 shows the diameter of the wheel / rim (in inches)
67 shows the maximum allowable load (load index / LI). LI 67 means the maximum load that can
covered was 307 kg.
H indicates the speed limit usage (same as in the example above)
So when we're going to buy a tire with a different brand watch the code, and check whether the same
specifications with the previous tires we use. (Source)

Tire Flower

A motorcycle is running, stopped, and turning caused by the friction between tire and road surface. The biggest enemy is slippery / slip and the time the bike is holding the tire slip plays an important role in addition also affected by the road surface.
tire has a flower also called patern, the functions of the patern is removing the heat generated tires, reducing noise or sound, eliminating the water surface road, gripping the road surface during braking and traction.
To appreciate fully the performance of the tire, it is important to choose a patern / tire suitable where the vehicle was used.
Patern or tire can be categorized into four categories, including:
a. Rib type: resist sliding laterally, low noise, high stability. Ideal for air-asphalt road.
b. Lug type: providing exceptional traction and braking. Appropriate to hilly terrain and poor road conditions.
c. Block type: Traction special, just for the road is not flat and sandy.
d. Composite type: The combination of the above types.
Here's a glance information about why the tires have a flower and tire types and what to use to adjust to road conditions you face to be more comfortable and safe in driving. (source)

Carburetor Settings

This article I wrote from personal experience and from asking questions to the mechanical workshop, if my bike fitting service again.
Okay, I'll try to discuss about the problems of the carburetor on a two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) and a way of preference,

The main task of the carburetor is to mix Fuel + air (O2). Roughly the ratio of its range Fuel: O2 (air) is 1: 13-15. Anyway how do I let the machine can supply mix that much.
Why wear range, whereas the theory in a book burning books that ideal 1: 14?
The answer is to Because the condition of machinery & environments affect Fuel mixture settings: O2.

For example:
* The higher the compression the engine will get hot, the fuel supply means need more let the engine not broken.
* Humidity (moisture) environment increasingly high, the fuel mixture will be contaminated water, so the mixture getting poorer, have more gasoline MEANS.
* Low environmental temperature, engine temperature down, MEAN gasoline should be reduced so that the working temperature of the engine so ideal.
* Muffler (Free flow), rpm will be higher so the temperature will increase the engine needs fuel MEANS higher.
And many more parameters that must be considered including the design of inlets on the block by setting spuyer influential as a fuel distributor.
That theory basically.

Carburetor settings:
Carburetors have 2 spuyer:
One fruit of that act to channel the main jet fuel when throttle about half a lap up,
One fruit of that act to channel the pilot jet fuel from the gas rotation 0 degrees until full, only the effects of jet pilots could be said to be not very significant at full throttle and high engine rpm-me.
Tips are very simple setting the main jet and pilot jet.
Perform gas and wind adjustment to the maximum, if the engine screams at the highest setting is less shouted gas, the main jet is less and must be in Raise the score.
Try to Raise first 5 digits of the manufacturer's standard rate. After that, try to pull the gas. If the high gas looks like there is empty, or there is a pause in the supply of gasoline. "That's the main-jet is still lacking. Could Raise one step more, or be a 7 or 7.5 points. Usually, it is enough to rise high.
Conversely, if the time was not gassed smoothly even on a lap top. That means, increase the main jet is too large and should be lowered. Besides is not smooth, suit playing too big an impact as well wasteful gasoline. Gasoline is wasted and does not burn up. Can be seen in the spark plug. If the black very quickly, the setting is too big / not fit.

As for jet pilot suit, symptoms also detected with some things. The first symptoms, if the motor is difficult to live or once lived, but on lap down looks like there is empty. such as gasoline baseball road. That means the pilot jet needs to be increased, "
How to increase gradually as well, Just like the increase main jet. Any increase in the pilot and main jet engines each differ depending on type of carburetor, but from experience, setting the pilot and main jet motor baseball ever to 10.

Another thing with the influential settings including:
Venturi carburetor size,
Needles skepticism,
Wind suits,
Power jet.

Venturi carburetor bigger then the more air that passed sehingg spuyer greater need either the pilot or main jet so that the mixture can be fitted.
Continues when we raise ato spuyer shrink again?
Previously should know first gejala2 machine when lack of fuel and most fuel:

1. "Leaks" are symptoms such as loss of engine power due to fuel shortage reply
2. "Not well" is a symptom of who actually feels solid engine power just like muffled and sometimes accompanied by the sound of metal crash if the setting is too wet.
Means that the engine needs fuel leak, if not most fuel engine smoothly.

problems
1. Trouble Jet Pilot
Well here the problem occurs because the problem well-pilot jet:
* Motor that morning because it's so hard to live open gas leak continue to die, it means enlarging the pilot jet.
* Motor is the road but often tiba2 lost power when a low round n round gas jet pilot means naekin
* Motor is often over-heat as the road slowly means a big ask for a jet pilot
* Motor is not smooth in the run-down but good on lap top means the pilot jet greatness.
* Motor not use the choke when the morning & can immediately start
(this is also not normal) means that the pilot hrs down.
In conclusion, if there are symptoms leaking, high temperatures are relatively low diputaran who then asked naek jet pilot, and if there are symptoms is not smooth at low speed jg then the pilot must come down.

2. Trouble Main Jet
Continue to issue the main jet:
* Motor racing was brought up to finish the lap top on it goes so slow road less power coupled out of the smoke, MEAN temperature increases dramatically at high speed, then the main jet will get up.
* Breath motor on lap top is too long mean asking the main jet up.
* Motor noisy while others who normally MEANS engine temperature is very high when the lap top, then the main jet will get up.
* Motor sound is not fluent in the lap top just means the main jet'm down
etc.
In conclusion, if the motor sound is not fluent in the run-up means the main jet must come down, if the motor temperature is high in the run-up means the main jet will get up. (source)

Carburetor

Carburetors is a device that mixes air and fuel for an internal combustion engine. Carburetors are still used in small engines and in old cars or as they are designed specifically for stock car racing. Most cars produced in the early 1980s has been using computerized electronic fuel injection. The majority of motorcycles still use carburetors because lighter and cheaper, but in 2005 many new models are introduced with fuel injection.

Carburetors were first discovered by Karl Benz in 1885 and patented in 1886. In 1893 the Hungarian engineer named János Csonka nationality and Banki Donat also design a similar tool. Was Frederick William Lanchester of Birmingham, England who first experimented using the carburetor on the car. In 1896 Frederick and his brother built the first car that uses gasoline in the United Kingdom, single-cylinder-powered 5 hp (4 kW), and an internal combustion engine (internal combustion). Not satisfied with the final results obtained, mainly due to the small power generated, they rebuilt the machine, this time they use a two cylinder horizontally and also redesign their carburetors. This time they were able to complete the tour cars along the 1,000 miles (1600 km) in 1900. This is a step forward in the field of automotive carburetors use
Commonly used for automobile carburetor made gasoline until the late 1980s. After a lot of electronic controls used in automobiles, use of carburetor is being replaced by fuel injection systems because they are more easily integrated with other systems to achieve fuel efficiency.

Working principle, basically carburetor work using Bernoulli's principle: the faster air moves, the smaller its static pressure, but the higher its dynamic pressure. Gas pedal on the car actually does not directly control the magnitude of the flow of fuel into the combustion chamber. Gas pedal is actually controlling the valve in the carburetor to determine the amount of air that can flow into the combustion chamber. The air is moving in the carburetor that has the pressure to attract and fuel into the combustion chamber.
Most machines have had only one carburetor carburetor, but there also uses one carburetor for each cylinder owned. Even become a trend in Indonesia motorcycle modification of multi-use carbu (many carburetors) but this is usually only used as decoration without any technical function. Early generation machines use a carburetor upward flow (updraft), where the air enters through the bottom of the carburetor and then out through the top. The advantage of this design is that it can avoid flooding the engine, because the excess liquid fuel will spill out directly and not through the carburetor into the intake mainfold; Another advantage is the bottom of the carburetor may be connected with the oil line so that there is little oil to go into the air flow and used to wash the air filter; but using air filters made of paper using the washing of this oil is no longer needed today.
Beginning in the late 1930s, the flow carburetor down (downdraft) and flow laterally (sidedraft) began popouler used for automotive. (source)
